Job Description

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
-
Manages the members of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP/Food Safety)
Team.
 
-Manages Supplier Audits in coordination with Purchasing Department.
 -Lead the team during External Audits performed by Clients/Certifying Bodies/Regulatory Bodies.
- Support HR/Admin in the recruitment for QA and other department (when necessary)
- Support management in compliance with Philippine Food Regulations e.g., FDA
- Lead the team in accomplishing and monitoring the completion of Clients; requested documents
such as Self-Assessment Questionnaires and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Leads in reviewing food safety-related manuals, procedures, and checklists

Actively support the team in conducting root cause analysis, incident investigations, and risk
assessments when deemed necessary.
- Ensures tasks assigned to the QA team are accomplished.
- Conducts food safety-related training to relevant employees as indicated in the training plan.
- Designs special projects related to food safety as the need arises.
- Manages the team to ensure that Food Safety Management System (FSMS) is strictly
implemented, updated, and maintained.
- Manages budget for QA laboratory not limited to laboratory consumables
- Manages the QA Starch Laboratory operations not limited to laboratory tests, equipment
troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance & etc.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Graduate of Chemistry, or Chemistry-related courses; License as a Chemist is required;
or graduate of Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related fields, as allowed by
pertinent professional regulations laws;
- With at least 3 years of experience in a factory setting, at least 2 years of which in a Managerial capacity.
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is required;
- Has deep knowledge of end-to-end value chain management for Quality Assurance
spanning Material Acceptance, Microbiology, In-Line Inspection, and Systems
Implementation;
- With deep experience in implementing relevant management systems in the food
industry, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015
(QMS), HACCP, HALAL, FSMS, and FSSC;
- With prominent leadership, communication, and basic management (planning, leading,
organizing, and controlling) skills;
- With proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and
Teams, at minimum). Experience ERP tool is an advantage but not required
- With excellent people management skills, backed by solid experience in coaching,
mentoring, employee discipline, performance management, talent development, and
change management. Familiarity with labor laws and line human resources functions is
required.
