Under general supervision, assists in implementing the educational, administrative, and therapeutic aspect of food preparation service in the hospital: 1. Conducts nutrition classes and cooking demonstration at Pediatric and OB wards.
2. Prepares and conducts training and educational programs to enhance the learning experience of nursing and nutrition trainees and students.
3. Supervises dishing-out and distribution of food.
4. Performs diet census and recording.
5. Promotes the diet therapy program, and coordinates with other departments regarding other relevant programs.
6. Assists in dietary service policy development and research works in dietetic management.
7. Supervises preparation of blenderized feeding for patients.
8. Supervises safety and sanitation practices in food preparation, storage and distribution.
9. Conducts nutritional assessment/ counseling patients.
10. Performs other related functions as may be assigned.
