Job Description

  • Assumes responsibility for performing assigned accounting and related clerical support functions.
  • Maintains files, including filing of General Ledger, Journal Vouchers, Accounts Payable Monitors, Petty Cash Fund documentations, and other miscellaneous filings.
  • Types a variety of documents, regulatory and corporate reports, and records.
  • Keys journal voucher entries into the General Ledgers.
  • Ensures that all payables are paid on time, taking full advantage of possible prompt payments discounts, etc.
  • Prepares checks and related check vouchers for payment to various suppliers, making sure that all necessary documents for the disbursements are attached ensuring the propriety of disbursements.
  • Prepares semi-monthly budgets of the company.
  • May be tasked to requisition accounting office and other routine supply purchases.
  • Assumes the responsibility of performing the company payroll.
  • Gathers official time records of all employees as basis for payroll activity.
  • Summarizes overtime hours-work of employees, more specifically, the company drivers.
  • Prepares the Company Payroll Register, Bank Instructions for ATM Payroll Crediting, Management Salaries check, and all employee Pay Slips.
  • Ensures that all Pay Slips are properly received by concerned employees, and that such are completely filed for future reference.
  • Assumes responsibility over Social Security, Home Development Mutual Fund, and PhilHealth Insurance premium payments and various reportorial requirements.
  • Prepares monthly contribution/premium and/or loans (re)payment returns for the SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund (HDMF) and the PhilHealth.
  • Prepares monthly employee contribution/premium reports and employees’ loan amortization reports to the SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund (HDMF) and the PhilHealth.
  • Ensures that all SSS, HDMF, and PHIC related issues are addressed, and assists employees on possible concerns with the mentioned agencies by acting as their representative in clarifying their issues with such agency (ies).
  • Assumes responsibility for effective researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation requirements, problems and/or discrepancies.
  • Assumes responsibility of establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company Personnel and with Management.
  • Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.
  • Assists other office personnel as needed
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Attends and participates in meetings and/or seminars as required.
  • Assumes responsibility of related duties as required or assigned.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Preferably Female
• Graduate of BS Accountancy or Commerce
• Attentive to detail and computer proficient, results-oriented and has the sense of urgency
• With at least 1 year experience on maintenance of accounts and records and other related functions is an Advantage
• Honest, has a high sense of integrity.
• Able to withstand internal and external pressures
•Willing to start ASAP
