Nokia has been present in the Philippines since 1994 (April 2024 is the 30th Anniversary)

Nokia started the first GSM network in Philippines with Smart PLDT and Globe and has been supporting the Philippines’ connectivity development and Communication Service Providers/Operators since this time.
Nokia also has relationships with other operators such as Converge ICT, Radius as well as with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Enterprises.
More recently, Nokia has been engaged with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of its plan to establish an Open RAN Interoperability Laboratory in the Philippines, in coordination with the Asia Open RAN Academy to provide a neutral and conducive venue for testing operational capabilities among various technologies of different vendors and manufacturers.
