1. Perform welding from various departments with help of welding torches and arcs.
2. Analyze defective equipment and identify appropriate defective equipment and inform supervisors.
3. Administer various components and perform welding of clamps, holding and bolts according to specifications.
4. Manage work with help of manual welding machines and melt metals for various processes.
5. Monitor all welding processes and ensure absence of any shrinkage and distortion to materials.
6. Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to avoid back jobs or defective work.
7. Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look.
8. Maintain disc grinder and perform all cleaning and grinding of metals.
9. Operate various manual and automated welding equipment for welding work.
10. Analyze speed and length of welding arc for all welding process.
11. Assemble all components with help of power and hand tools.
12. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
13. Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
14. Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
15. Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions.
16. Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
17. Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
18. De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
19. Uses electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals.
20. Consults blueprints and sketches in order to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
21. Assesses equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
22. Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature
23. Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications in order to meet building codes and legal requirements.
24. Develops working knowledge of dozens of methods used for welding a variety of materials and components.
25. Trims metal components using heat, fire, and electricity.
26. Monitors work environment for hazards and maintains healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation.
27. Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, eye protection, protective masks, safety shoes, places fire extinguishers, secures wires, and secures the storage of oxygen and acetylene tanks.
1. Formal Training Through a Vocational or Technical School, Relevant Welder or Welding Fabricator Certifications from TESDA
2. High School level graduate.
3. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder
4. Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
