About the Role
A Meter Reader is an essential role within Electrovers Corporation, responsible for recording and collecting data from various types of utility meters, such as those measuring electricity and water consumption. The information collected by meter readers is crucial for billing customers accurately and ensuring the proper functioning of utility services. Here are some key aspects of the role:
Requirements
Reads water meters and accurately records reading used by residential, semi- business, commercial, commercial home-based and industrial consumers on a handheld computer (rover).
Take vivid photos of high, low, zero, negative water consumption and for the accounts that need images.
Deliver water bill/s to customers or to authorized recipients right after the meter readings.
Checking for any damage, unauthorized connections or defects in the meter. Verify readings in cases where consumption appears to be abnormal, and record possible reasons for fluctuations.
Identify and Update Economic Activity of a customer.
Answer customers' questions about services or about water bills politely and professionally, or direct them to customer care service.
Report unaccounted/unrecorded water meter whether newly installed meter, newly reopened meter or illegally reopened water meter together with the near meter and specified MRU.
Provide sketches for unaccounted/unrecorded water meters if necessary.
Report any problems such as bill discrepancy, meter irregularities, damaged equipment (rover and portable printer), or impediments to meter access, including dogs.
Rechecks readings when there have been complaints of readings that appear to be inaccurate.
Deliver flyers or other materials as required.
Trains new meter readers on job duties and procedures.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the leadman or supervisor.
Print EOD and check for potential error reading before uploading the assigned Meter Reading Unit.
Upload and Download of assigned Meter Reading Unit.
Upload images after completion of assigned Meter Reading Unit.
