The Warehouse Helper will assist with various tasks to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods. This role involves handling, organizing, and maintaining inventory, as well as ensuring the warehouse is clean and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Processing Shipments:
Unload trucks and containers.
Inspect goods for damage and accuracy.
Verify the quantity and quality of items received.
Record and report discrepancies and damages.
Inventory Management:
Organize and store goods in designated areas.
Label and tag items accurately.
Conduct regular inventory counts and updates.
Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick and pack orders accurately according to pick lists.
Prepare goods for shipment, including labeling and palletizing.
Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams for dispatch.
Material Handling:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
Load and unload goods from delivery trucks.
Move materials within the warehouse as needed.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
Ensure proper storage of hazardous materials.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
Prepare and complete necessary paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods.
Update inventory management systems as needed.
