Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical Duties:
1. ELM- Preventive Maintenance
a. Identifies all equipment for preventive maintenance
b. Implements Preventive Maintenance Program
2. ELM- Equipment Repair
a. Checks vehicle functional condition by listening to driver/ operator complaints.
b. Diagnose breakdown/ damage of equipment in need of repairs
c. Checks and inspects units under repair and communicates/ submits daily updates to the Department Manager or any of his representatives
d. Test runs the equipment after repair, with the concerned operator, driver, mechanic, and/or Projects Department Personnel
3. EDR- Equipment Dispatch
a. Checks availability of Equipment
b. Checks/ Inspects of Equipment:
- prior to dispatch
- upon return to site
- when parked/ idle
c. Prepares/ Fills out Dispatch and Return Checklist, Heavy Equipment Inspection Checklist, and Motor Vehicle Inspection Checklist accurately
d. Ensures that equipment and motor vehicles conforms to industry and government standards prior to dispatch
e. Releases equipment, with a duly accomplished Equipment Release Form.
f. Regularly updates the Monthly Equipment Status Report.
g. Monitors deployed equipment and reports to the Office Clerk any changes in location of any equipment.
4. Observes proper dress code (colored t-shirt uniform; no sando, shorts or slippers)
5. Performs other work-related tasks
Special Duties:
1. Helps enforce cleanliness within the working area and grounds of the compound, by enforcing the proper disposal of used oil and worn out tires
2. Ensures that units (dump trucks, transit mixer trucks, tractor/ trailer trucks, company owned service vehicles and personal service vehicles) are parked in their designated parking area.
