This job description outlines the roles and responsibilities for the position of TRANSPORT PLANNER
1. Review and recommend improvements to the existing planning and programming policies, processes, and procedures; and develop new concepts aligned with National Government goals and Department policies to guide succeeding multi-year plans and projects;
2. Prepare an Integrated DPWH Infrastructure Plan based on the Regional Multi-Year Plans, including long-term, medium-term, and short-term plans and accounting for geohazards and buildable and non-buildable zones, for use in RDIP, PIP, TRIP, and AIP;
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of current Organizational Outcome Indicators and recommend necessary improvements;
4. Assist with the business analysis, development of new reports/templates based on data analytics, upgrading of processes, monitoring, and problem-solving;
5. Assess BMS policies, processes, and manuals, and suggest improvements;
6. Provide training on the multi-year procedures to Planning Service staff and assist in the cascade training to be conducted by the Planning Service staff to RO and DED; and
7. Perform related duties as assigned within scope of practice.
