MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for planning and implementing the maintenance program of the company facilities. This position is created to ensure the safe, efficient, and quality operations of all the facilities that contribute to overall guest satisfaction and smooth internal operations.
Maintenance Planning and Supervision
Overseeing the planning and supervision of the department in order to ensure that the team is able to deliver functional facilities
• Plan the facilities maintenance program
• Submit weekly/monthly reports on maintenance, electric consumption, and water consumption
• Supervise maintenance personnel
• Coordinate with contractors for their maintenance services
• Ensure proper operation and good efficiency of equipment
• Request spare parts and other consumable item needed for maintenance operation
• Plan and implement the Energy Conservation program
• Establish processes and procedures of maintenance engineering
Troubleshooting and Repair
Performing actual maintenance work on equipment, fixtures, and facilities • Repair pump motors, blower motors, and other electro-mechanical systems
• Fix minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry fixtures
Government and Safety Compliance
Performing support functions during emergency situations and complying with requirements set by the government and other regulatory bodies • Perform the role of Pollution Control Officer as required by DENR-EMB
• Submission of required Self Monitoring Report (SMR) to EMB
• Guide the Bureau of Fire Protection representatives in case of fire
• Rescue guests trapped in the elevator
• Monitor fire detection and alarm system
Customer Service
Interacting with clients, addressing concerns, and maintaining a good relationship with them
• Deal with guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Resolve engineering-related concerns pertaining to guest room and public area experience
People Handling
Involves interviewing, training, developing, motivating, and disciplining direct reports
• Interview applicants to fill in job vacancies
• Ensure staff has the required competencies to perform their jobs through orientation and training
• Assess the performance of staff and motivate them to pursue their individual development plans
• Discipline erring employees and reward high performers
