Job Description

SENIOR WELL TEST ENGINEER

  • Well Test Operations: Lead and oversee all well test operations, including pressure testing, flowback operations, well flow analysis, and production testing for offshore gas wells.
  • Test Design & Planning: Design, plan, and implement well test programs, ensuring all objectives are met, safety standards are followed, and operations are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze well test data (such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, and fluid composition) to assess reservoir performance and deliver accurate results for further decision-making.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all well testing equipment, such as surface well test units, choke manifolds, pressure gauges, and test separators, are maintained and operated according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Well Evaluation: Evaluate well productivity and reservoir characteristics, providing recommendations for well completion optimization, production forecasting, and potential interventions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Diploma of Well Servicing Operations.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively document and report findings to onshore management teams.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency with well test equipment, including test separators, choke manifolds, pressure gauges, surface well test units, and associated systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strong commitment to safety and compliance with HSSE standards, with the ability to identify risks and ensure safe execution of well testing operations.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret well test data, assess reservoir performance, and provide accurate recommendations based on data insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and resolve problems efficiently in a high-pressure offshore environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including drilling, completions, production, and engineering personnel.
  • Knowledge of reservoir characterization and the impact of well test data on reservoir management.
