A day in the life of an illustrator includes . . .

  1. Creating and rendering illustrations for books by incorporating illustration styles according to the requirements submitted by the author and the service level he or she purchased
  2. Performing colorization to the illustrations created and revisions when necessary
  3. Preparing low resolution PDFs for the author to review
  4. Providing support to the book production team whenever necessary

Qualifications/Requirements

This job is perfect for you if you have . . .

  • At least 1 year design work experience
  • Graphic or artistic skills and the ability to draw and detail illustrations
  • Working knowledge in MS Office applications, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, and the like
  • Good oral and written communication skills and above-average comprehension
  • A keen eye for detail and are able to work independently and within a self-directed team environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in design or related fields (preferred but not necessary)
