Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. A combination of technical and business education is highly desirable 
  • Proven experience in technical sales on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fabrication and Construction, preferably as a Sales Engineer or in a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex products and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Customer-oriented mind set with a focus on building long-term relationships and understanding customer needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events (travel requirements may vary)
