MAIN COMPONENT SPECIALIST-PUBLISHED TITLE
• Serve as the main point of contact for consultation with technicians for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of critical wind turbine components. This role involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines.
• Assess company needs and requirements, gathering relevant information about their turbine systems, operating conditions, and maintenance history;
• Continuously give input and ideas to improvements on technical documentation, work instructions, and certification processes;
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and guidance to technicians experiencing issues with turbine performance, reliability, or operation;
• Advise and collaborate with technicians, specialists, engineering, and field service, to address inquiries related to turbine systems, coordinate service activities, and resolve issues for optimal turbine performance;
• Acts as a safety role model, encourages and recognizes others completing safe acts and intervenes when unsafe acts are being practiced. Adheres to all safety
standards and procedures. Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment, implements effective risk mitigation and provides recommendations to higher-level technical staff and management;
• Advice regarding and coordinate service visits and repairs with field service technicians and subcontractors; and,
• Effectively gathers information regarding turbine performance/issues. May diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions up to intermediate routine issues. Seeks assistance when encountering turbine issues outside trained skill level to ensure a suitable resolution.
