We seek a dedicated and skilled IT System Administrator to join our passionate team at Philippine Business for Social Progress Inc (PBSP). As an IT System Administrator, you will manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of technology resources critical to our mission. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will be crucial in supporting our efforts to impact society positively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Network and Server Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's local area network (LAN) and ensure efficient data communication across all departments.
- Manage and administer servers, both on-premises and cloud-based, to ensure smooth operation, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues.
- User Support and Training:
- In-person and remotely, provide technical support to NGO staff, volunteers, and partners, addressing hardware, software, and network-related concerns.
- Conduct training sessions to help users understand and utilize technology effectively, fostering digital literacy across the organization.
- Security and Data Protection:
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and NGO policies.
- Regularly update and maintain security protocols, antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Software and Application Management:
- Install, configure, and manage software applications and tools used by the NGO, ensuring compatibility, licensing compliance, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with software vendors for issue resolution, updates, and license renewals.
- IT Procurement and Inventory:
- Evaluate and recommend IT hardware and software purchases based on organizational needs and budget considerations.
- Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets, tracking usage and lifecycle.
- Technology Research and Implementation:
- Stay informed about the latest technology trends and advancements relevant to the NGO sector, suggesting improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement new IT solutions, conducting tests and pilots before full deployment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for easy reference and knowledge sharing.
- Generate regular reports on IT infrastructure performance, security status, and operational metrics.
