Job Description

The Team Lead will manage 50% of an Expeditor's workload while serving as the primary liaison between the company and the client. This role requires oversight of the Expediting team, ensuring that all post-PO activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with company standards. Reporting to the Supervisor or Operations Manager, the Team Lead will be responsible for achieving team performance targets. Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of the employee lifecycle are essential for success in this position. Additionally, the Team Lead will support management in resource management and the ongoing improvement of performance, processes, and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages the supplier-side purchase order (PO) process that involves ensuring
confirmation of receipt, timely release, expediting, and coordinating deliveries to meet
contractual deliveries with efficiency.
2. Handles all correspondence related to shipments, delivery, and material quality and
quantity, and promptly reports any concerns to relevant parties to ensure orders meet the
required specifications and timely address pressing concerns.
3. Meets the agreed quality assurance (QA) requirements to safeguard quality and standard of work.
4. Facilitates smooth PO delivery by maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to maintain strong relationship with the clients.
5. Supervises the overall daily operations such as but not limited to workforce management e.g. staffing, scheduling, team huddles, performance review and coaching; and attainment of targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to secure efficiency and success of day-to-day operations

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management or any related discipline.
At least 2 years of work experience &/or years of experience in relevant or related role/capacity
2 years of relevant and related experience in BPO industry is an advantage.
