• Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches,or oral instructions
• Build rebar cages according to drawings provided-tools supplied by the company
• Using pliers to tie wire around rods tofasten them together
• Positioning and securing rods, cables, mesh, or rebar in concrete forms
• Bending or welding rebar together
• Figuring out the quantity, size, and shapes of reinforcing rods and determining where to place them
• Preparing rebar and meshfor installation using metal shears, hacksaws, and torches
• Installing cables
• Bend steel rods with hand tools and rod-bending machines, and weld them with arc-welding equipment
• Place blocks under rebar to hold the bars off the deck when reinforcing floors
• Set foundations
• Form, set and build slabs and roofs
• Performs other tasks assigned by immediate superior, project manager, or the management.
