The Solar Fabricator is responsible for assembling and fabricating solar panels and related components according to technical specifications and quality standards. This role involves manual and semi-automated processes to ensure the efficient production of durable and high-performance photovoltaic (PV) modules.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
- Assemble solar panels using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as per design and assembly instructions
- Cut, shape, and align solar cells, glass panels, back sheets and frames
- Inspect raw materials and components for defects or quality issues before fabrication
- Perform soldering and wiring of solar cells or junction boxes
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment and machines
- Conduct basic testing on fabricated panels to ensure functionality and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the fabrication work area.
- Adhere to safety and environmental protocols in the handling of equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve production issues.
- Document production output, materials used, and any discrepancies or issues encountered.
