Job Description

The Sponsorship Services Officer will be stationed in the Head Office and will be responsible in supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of the GNIP sponsorship plans. He/she will be in collaboration with the field sponsorship staff members in the Community Development Project Field Offices and will ensure quality and timely execution of sponsorship deliverables following the guidelines set by the GN IHQ.

Program Implementation and Execution:

  • Supervise program operations in assigned divisions (Sponsorship Services, Community Leader management, and Special Child Case Management) to achieve the Organization goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies for work improvements. Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Capacitate staff, including partners, with the necessary knowledge, attitude, and skills regarding sponsorship (processes, procedures, policies) and its integration with the program.
  • Assist in resolving issues and ensure that all concerns will be directly reported to the SSD Manager.
  • Assist in addressing inquiries from GPC, Head Office team members and staff in a professional manner.
  • Assist in ensuring that the team works in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Provide guidance to team members if necessary.
  • Conceptualize and review proposals, guidelines and other reports that should be submitted to the Headquarters.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training to the team.
  • Monitor fund utilization of every project area and ensure that funds are properly utilized based on plan of actions (POA).
  • Provide support in the planning and finalizing of alternative plans and guidelines considering the current situation of the CDP area to ensure the smooth implementation of the activities.
  • Manage special cases and local child sponsorship programs under GN’s local entity.

System and Policies Management:

  • Assist in monitoring the Child Management System to ensure smooth submission of the CMS deliverables.
  • Participate in the development and revisions of policies and guidelines related SSD program management in order to have consistent process in SSD operation.

Other Functions:

  • Carry any other duties as may be directed by the SSD Manager.
  • Participate in all company activities such as but not limited to seminars, training, outing, etc.
  • Report to Human Resource within 24 hours any untoward incidents that occurred/witnessed within assigned work location/station and/or during working hours that might jeopardize the organization and/or employee’s operation/reputation.
  • Adhere to the Rules & Regulations set by the company and ensures confidentiality of all transaction/s and/or information at all times.

Qualifications/Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Licensed Social Worker a preference.
● At least 3-5 years of experience with children and youth in local or international NGO, handling child sponsorship program.
● With hands on experience in information and data base management system.
● Proficient in using computer such as data base system and general office Applications (MS office, Outlook, Excell etc.)
● Familiar with process-oriented operations and workflow as well as with policies and standards
● Ability to work and communicate with employees of different backgrounds and Levels
● Excellent organization and prioritization skills and ability to handle and perform in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
● Experience in case management and willing to do field work if necessary
● Good communication skills both in English and Filipino, for both written and verbal communication, including professional email correspondence
