In need of an experienced Master for our tanker vessels
• Issue orders in a clear and concise manner and review safety and pollution prevention activities.
• Implement the safety and environmental policy of the Company.
• Report to the Company any defects or other matters with implications to the ship’s and crew safety or to the risk of pollution which requires the assistance of the Company.
• Appraise and coordinate on-board training requirements with the Company.
• Assign duties to senior officers with respect to the S.M.S.
• Ensure that the S.M.S. is kept up to date by liaising with the Designated Person in order to arrange audits.
• Review on-board contingency plans and ship procedures and report any deficiencies to the Designated Person.
• Report non-conformities, accidents and hazardous situations involving crew members.
• Ensure that all documentation that is designated as “controlled” is up to date and issued as per Company’s procedures.
• Request assistance from the Company as may be necessary to ensure ship’s and crew safety and pollution free operation of the ship.
• Ensure that all records relevant to the S. M. S. and as defined in the procedures are available.
