Job Description

  • Accountable for keeping an inventory of all work materials, stores, and equipment and seeing that these are safely stowed with fire precautions taken as per the AMOS-D inventory
  • Assist in fresh water bunkering
  • Assist in daily sounding of tanks and void spaces
  • See that personnel files for the positions under them in the chain of command are maintained (working with HR Manager)
  • Responsible for the tidiness of the carpenter shop
  • Responsible for fire precautions, especially when storing and handling hazardous materials

Qualifications/Requirements

  • One to two years experience as Carpenter on large cruise vessel preferred
  • Furniture carpentry experience required
  • Previous carpentry experience considered
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible in day-to-day activities
  • Basic computer knowledge
