Job Description

1. Develops and reviews technical improvement programs for the department. Oversees the implementation of such programs.
2. Directs section heads and supervisors assigned to the area.
3. Identifies items for improvement, sets targets for the department, and cascades them to the department members.
4. Directs the section's activities and ensures an acceptable level of performance, making sure that specific work schedules and objectives are met.
5. Prepares and submits required reports.
6. Develops and reviews improvement programs for the section. Sets targets and cascades them to all members of the section.
7. Support and resolve concerns between TDK Yawata and TDK Philippines.
8. Coordinates, develops, and maintains internal/external partnerships with other sections/TDK branches to facilitate and support R&D technical process requirements.
9. Recommends and implements cost-saving programs for the section.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field of study having wide scope of industry knowledge to oversee a variety of activities
  • Excellent analytical skills for evaluating information and solving complex problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in foreign language such as Nihongo would be an advantage
  • Advanced mathematical skills for developing new processes and products
