Job Description

Position Overview

Experienced Senior Finance Accountant, skilled in managing monthly/quarterly/annual accounting close, P&L reviews, Balance Sheet reconciliations, journals (proficient in accruals, prepayment etc.), cash flow and intercompany management and Fixed Asset register management. Assist in the preparation and review of tax and Statutory Accounts, monthly sales report review and adjustments preparation, internal and external audits. Experience in US GAAP / IFRS and reporting is highly desirable.

What you’ll do at Insight

Various month end / quarter end responsibilities and activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of month end/quarter end in accordance with USGAAP /SOX requirements
Assisting with all aspects of accounting for AU and NZ including but not limited to, P&L review including analysing Budget and Actual, Balance Sheet reconciliation preparation and review, journal postings, preparation and filing of Statutory Accounts, tax returns, GST returns, other regulatory obligations, dealing with external professional services providers related to audit and local filing matters
Inventory Accounting and reconciliations for AU and NZ
Prepare and analyse monthly sales data, liaise with sales managers to solve errors, post adjustments for Australian entity
Review Concur Report and prepare T&E accruals for SAP posting to ensure correct GL account and cost centre applied for AU and NZ
Monitor intercompany invoices in SAP, prepare pro-forma intercompany invoices and liaise with other Insight fellow subsidiaries (IEI, EMEA and India etc.) to obtain intercompany balance confirmations
Manage monthly and quarterly intercompany balance settlement and transaction clearing in SAP for APAC.
Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations for APAC
Prepare weekly bank reconciliations for APAC and related adjustment journals
Distribute weekly the unreconciled bank items for APAC to AR, AP team and other key users to ensure timely posting
Run quarterly cash GL account clearing and post relevant adjustment journal entries for APAC
Audit vendor bank account changes monthly for APAC
Monthly Fixed Assets related work for APAC incl. identify Fixed Asset new additions and provide coding to AP team, liaise with other departments for new additions to add in SAP, depreciation SAP posting accounting checking, monitoring assets disposal item, requesting approval and asset retirement in SAP, maintain Fixed Assets register etc.
Prepare quarterly Fixed Asset roll-forward file for 10Q packet reporting
Prepare NZ GST return and complete related GL account Balance Sheet reconciliation
Post various monthly journals for AU and NZ
Assist with vendor rebate process for APAC entities
Update draft P&L’s and distribute to P&L owners
Prepare various Balance Sheet reconciliations for AU and NZ
Prepare Statistics survey for AU and NZ
Support the AU and NZ team leaders to accurately and timely close those entities every month
Backup for other finance tasks for AU and NZ
Take on additional ad hoc work when required
