Job Description

Chief Growth Officer

The Chief Growth Officer is primarily responsible for driving and leading business objectives of the Bank through strategic alliances and development of new business opportunities with key partners by establishing, nurturing, and maintaining relations with key partners and creating new revenue streams with significant business impact. He and his team is also responsible for the overall account management, sustenance, monetization and growth of each key account onboarded into the the Bank’s ecosystem.

  1. Responsible for the following: i. Bring in concrete sizeable opportunities significantly impacting the Bank’s revenues and growth ii. Identify innovative ways to grow business, impact, platforms, and partnerships iii. Measure and analyze current revenue streams, offerings, and relationships to optimize our business growth and revenue strategy iv. Lead strategic initiatives for sustainable growth of organization v. Build a strong pipeline of business opportunities for the Bank to take once it’s ready infrastructure wise
  2. Collaborates with the following: i. CEO to align ensure partnership and business opportunities are in line with the strategy. ii. Chief Business and Strategy Officer to productise the opportunity and make it eventually a BAU revenue generating stream iii. CTO to implement and take the opportunity (joint product offering) live into the market iv. Leadership team, special committees, and consultants to execute strategies

Qualifications/Requirements

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • MBA a plus

Work Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in relevant banking/financial services background in established banks/financial institutions ▪ At least 10 years of experience in a leadership position in a banking / financial services role in an established financial institution ▪ Strong portfolio of successful B2B engagements within the banking / financial services / fintech industry.

Knowledge Area:

In-depth knowledge of banking products and services, including inherent risks

Competencies/Skills:

Strong data management and analytical skills ▪ Strong presentation and influencing skills ▪ Entrepreneurial skills ▪ Networking skills ▪ Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. ▪ Problem-solving skills in order to identify problems, evaluate options and execute solutions. ▪ Time management skills to manage the timeline of the strategic initiatives. ▪ Quality-control analysis skills to conduct the testing of products and services. ▪ Finance management skills to figure out the amount of money needed to execute the initiatives.

  4. No derogatory record or reputation in the country/industry that may affect the reputation of the Bank
