The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating new sales opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, initiating outbound calls, and building relationships with potential clients. You will work closely with the Sales team to drive top-of-funnel growth, setting up meetings and demos for Account Executives, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proactively prospect and identify new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
- Conduct thorough qualification of leads based on BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timing) or other qualification frameworks to ensure alignment with ideal customer profiles.
- Engage with potential clients to introduce products/services, highlight value propositions, and drive interest in scheduling sales meetings or demos.
- Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers to transfer qualified leads and set up meetings for further engagement.
- Accurately track all interactions with leads in the CRM system (e.g., Outplay, Sales Navigator), ensuring consistent follow-up and a seamless transition of leads to the sales team.
- Regularly report on progress and key metrics (e.g., calls made, emails sent, meetings set) to track personal performance and contribute to sales team goals.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to provide insights that can help refine sales strategies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospects and potential clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Engage with leads over time to build relationships, educate them on product offerings, and ensure they stay engaged until they are ready to move to the next stage in the sales process.
