DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Understands and follow current policies and procedures for the respiratory care services and the area of the hospital where respiratory care is administered.
2. Communicate with patients, parents, team members and all other customers
3. Responds to Code 99 or 88. Performs Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
4. Performs and obtain electrocardiogram to patient
• Operates electrocardiogram equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions.
• Prepares patients for electrocardiogram by explaining testing procedure and fastening electrodes to specific areas of arms, legs and chest.
• Removes electrodes after obtaining electrocardiogram to patient
• Reviews electrocardiogram for technical acceptability and rate.
5. Assist on echocardiography, electroencephalogram, treadmill stress test and peripheral vascular studies
6. Performs other functions and responsibilities which may be assigned by the immediate superior.
