1. Responsible in performing procedures in different areas such as CT-Scan, General X- rays, Ultrasound and Mammogram;
2. Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories;
3. Responsible for explaining patient preparation, prepares patient and equipment to be used for radiologic procedures. Escorts patients to dressing and examination rooms, provides verbal and / or written instructions and assists patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explains the procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during procedure;
4. Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Positions radiologic equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination. Takes x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety;
5. Responsible in mobile radiography in admitted patients at the ward, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER), Operating Room (OR), Pre-operative and Post- Operative;
6. Develops and processes radiologic film;
7. Prepares CT-Scan room, patient and equipment needed during the scan. Secures consent from patient who will undergo examination with contrast. Prepares and administers oral, rectal or injected contrast media to the patients. Observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan. Monitors patient's condition and reactions during scanning and after administering contrast media, reports abnormal signs to Physician;
8. Explains the mammogram procedure to the patient, it includes the compression of the breast and preparation prior to the procedure;
9. Responsible in patient scanning for general and obstetrics-gynecology examinations. Informs the Sonologist for checking and reporting if there's any abnormality seen during the pre-scan;
10. Types ultrasound report;
11. Assists the Radiologist in Ultrasound and CT-Scan guided biopsy;
12. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff;
13. Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order. Reports, equipment malfunctions to Department Head;
14. Performs related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling films and film envelopes and maintaining procedure logs;
15. Retrieves radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record. Records, processes and maintains patient data and treatment records, and prepares reports. Keeps patient records;
16. Maintains adequate radiologic and medical supplies;
17. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
