o Analyze Company’s directions, growth strategies and business objectives in order to handle the current/future requirements of the internal and external customers.
o Formulates, plans, monitors and evaluates the established Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) of the Purchasing Department (including individual positions) aligned with the overall OGSM of the Company while ensuring effective implementation of best practices in sourcing/canvassing and negotiations, increasing cost-savings and quality of materials/services as well as aid in the improvement of operational performance.
o Contributes to new business initiatives and projects through strategic sourcing of materials and services while ensuring competitive price, high quality products and on-time delivery schedule.
o Manages, communicates and cascades the OGSM within the Purchasing Department.
o Prepares the table of organization and plantilla of the Department aligned with the business needs and expectations.
o Acts as the Purchasing representative in Strategic Planning Meetings, Management Committee Meetings and Management Review sessions of the Company.
o Conducts risk assessment and identification of opportunities for established processes and tasks of the department.
o Oversees the management of risks related to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases.
