Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. Purchasing Assistants typically work for corporations across industries, including retail, healthcare and other industries that require the purchase or sale of products. 
  2. Work closely with other Purchasing Assistants, Salespeople, Accountants and Logistics Specialists to determine budgets for purchasing products, the types of products to buy and the progress of inventory shipments. 
  3. Review sales numbers and order products based on demand and seasonal trends. 
  4. Update Vendor or Wholesaler contact information and renew Vendor contracts.
  5. Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reduce operating costs, and boost efficiency.
  6. Manage purchase orders, shipping schedules and maintain purchase orders.

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements:
  1. Preferably a graduate of any Business Administration/Management/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  2. With at least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position specialised in Purchasing
  3. Must be keen on keeping documents
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  5. Advance knowledge in Excel is a must
Working Schedule: 9AM-6PM, Monday to Friday
