Job Description

Position Title: Project Lead

  • Project Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of consulting projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and BCG’s high standards.
    • Manage and motivate project teams, typically consisting of Associates, Consultants, and Analysts, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
    • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and nurturing strong relationships based on trust and value delivery.
    • Lead client meetings, workshops, and presentations, effectively communicating BCG’s insights and recommendations.
    • Tailor BCG’s global expertise and best practices to address specific client needs within the Southeast Asian context.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and coaching to project team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, ensuring that team members are engaged and empowered to contribute their best work.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and guidance to help team members advance in their careers at BCG.
  • Strategic Problem Solving:
    • Drive the problem-solving process, guiding teams through hypothesis generation, data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
    • Develop innovative strategies and solutions that address client challenges and deliver measurable impact.
    • Present clear, actionable recommendations to clients, drawing on BCG’s cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and global insights.
  • Business Development:
    • Play an active role in business development by identifying opportunities for additional client work and supporting proposal development.
    • Collaborate with partners and principals to expand BCG’s footprint in the Southeast Asian market, contributing to the firm’s growth strategy.
    • Leverage your industry knowledge and network to build lasting client relationships and enhance BCG’s reputation as a trusted advisor.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Contribute to BCG’s thought leadership by developing white papers, case studies, and articles on emerging trends and industry insights.
    • Participate in industry conferences, speaking engagements, and other forums to share BCG’s perspectives and enhance the firm’s brand.
    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in relevant industries, applying this knowledge to client work and internal initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university; an MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in management consulting or a similar strategic role, with a proven track record of leading projects and managing complex client engagements.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior client stakeholders.
    • Deep understanding of one or more industries within Southeast Asia, with the flexibility to adapt to new sectors.
    • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
