Job Description

As a Project Manager for Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. Your role involves coordinating all aspects of the project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing project risks, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (such as PMP) are preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in project management roles within the construction industry, with experience in managing medium to large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, including knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and motivate them towards project success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills to address challenges and make timely and effective decisions during project execution.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to oversee project documentation, contracts, and permits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Adaptability and resilience to manage project risks and uncertainties, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
