T Specialist (IT Project Management)
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Project Management Officer (PMO) plays a critical role in overseeing and delivering IT projects of Philippine Business for Social Progress Inc. The IT-PMO will actively participate in business requirements gathering sessions, provide technical advice, and ensure that business requirements are properly documented and approved before project initiation. Working closely with stakeholders and the technical team, the PMO will define project objectives, scope, and create detailed work plans to guide the project's execution. They will also be responsible for resource coordination, progress monitoring, quality assurance, and successful project closure while ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Requirements Gathering: Participate in business requirements gathering sessions, offering technical expertise and insights to align IT projects with organizational needs.
2. Documenting Business Requirements: Ensure that business requirements are thoroughly reported and officially signed off by relevant stakeholders before project commencement.
3. Project Scope Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and scope, ensuring all key parties are involved in the decision-making process.
4. Detailed Work Plan: Work with the technical team to create a comprehensive work plan, identifying and sequencing project activities required for successful project delivery.
5. Resource Coordination: Determine the necessary resources (people, time, budget, equipment, etc.) and collaborate with other teams responsible for resource allocation and commitments.
6. Document Management: Implement the use of standard templates and forms to document project activities and securely store all project artifacts.
7. Progress Monitoring and Adjustment: Monitor project progress regularly and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track.
8. Quality Assurance: Review the quality of work and deliverables the project team produces, ensuring they meet established standards and requirements.
9. Checkpoint Meetings: Conduct checkpoint meetings with the team to track progress, address challenges, and ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within budget.
10. Project Closure: Secure sign-off from the Project Sponsor/s upon completion and closure.
11. Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transition of knowledge and references to the application maintenance/support team for ongoing support.
