Washing Officer – Senior Technician (1 Vacancy)

Job Description:
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain large-scale industrial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and extractors.
  • Supervise a team of junior laundry staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Oversee sorting, pre-treatment, and classification of laundry according to fabric type, degree of soiling, and washing method required.
  • Prepare and apply appropriate washing formulas using detergents, disinfectants, and softeners according to fabric care requirements.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on laundry equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of washing schedules, equipment maintenance, chemical usage, and incident reports.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to handle complaints, conduct fabric tests, and ensure continuous improvement of laundry services.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualification (Education, Experience, Professional License, Skills Certification, Specialized Training):
  • Must have completed a Technical-Vocational Course in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of work experience in industrial/commercial laundry operations with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Solid knowledge of various types of fabrics, detergents, and industrial washing chemicals.
  • Proficient in machine operation, calibration, and routine troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with OSHA standards and chemical handling protocols.
  • Must have strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a laundry team.
  • Physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads.
  • Good communication skills in English; Filipino or another local language is a plus.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • Additional training in equipment diagnostics, textile care, or quality control is an advantage
