Job Description:
As a Licensed Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the safe dispensing, promotion, and distribution of generic medicines in accordance with legal and ethical standards. You will play a vital role in improving community health by providing guidance on the proper use of both prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper usage
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness of drug therapy
- Provide advice on possible drug interactions, side effects, and storage requirements
- Manage medicine inventory and ensure the safe storage of pharmaceuticals
- Train and supervise Pharmacy Assistants and pharmacy interns
- Support store operations, clinical research, and compliance with pharmacy protocols
- Participate in health promotion and education activities
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands to handle, feel, and reach with arms
- Frequent requirement to talk, hear, stand, and walk
- Must occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Working Environment:
- Frequently working while standing and walking in a retail setting
- Occasional use of tools, equipment, or controls
- Active interaction with customers and staff
- Moderate physical activity in a fast-paced environment
