dosage, ingredients required, and correctly and safely labelled.
supervise the preparation of any medicines maintaining accurate pharmacy records, patient profiles,
charge system files, and inventories
liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals to monitor, review and evaluate the
effectiveness of medications
Managing, supervising, educating and training pharmacy support staff
Maintaining stock and storing and handling it correctly
Also responsible for medication storage and work hand in hand with the Branch Manager in planning
for medication quantities to order
Monitoring and reporting drug safety. Monitoring all the potential Adverse Drug Reactions, toxicities,
Allergy Drug Reactions & side effects. Ensuring any adverse drug reactions/events experienced by
patients/consumers are properly handled, documented, and reported to FDA.
Providing drug information services. Discussing medication instructions with patients, including proper
storage and disposal procedures
Providing information about disease prevention, drug interactions, side effects, new medications on
the market, and any other pertinent health information to patients as requested by a physician.
Making sure that the medications and the doses are appropriate for the patient considering health
factors and the other medications.
Counseling patients on how to manage their medications properly by identifying possible side effects
or interactions with other drugs or foods
Providing advice about health maintenance topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management
techniques
Monitoring of quality of stocks, inventory of products including expiry dates. Taking the expired,
defective, and damaged products disposing/destroying of them safely.
Overall management of the pharmacy & stock taking.
Attending to patients and understanding their conditions to help in recommending medications.
Partake in Continuing Education Program to keep abreast with current drugs, advances in pharmacy
and pharmacy practice.
Compiles filled prescriptions for 2 years.
Records filled prescriptions in the prescription book.
Maintains the cleanliness in the dispensing area.
Shall check the labels of all dispensed drugs.
Responds to laws and policies implemented by DOH-FDA.
Send monthly pharmacy reports to the Head Pharmacist every 1st week of the month.
