  • Supervise and coordinate the work of drillers and instrumentation technicians, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Develop and implement detailed work plans for drilling and instrumentation installation, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of geotechnical instruments, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality control procedures.
  • Inspect drilling and installation activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to drilling and instrumentation, implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of drilling and installation activities, including daily reports, logs, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field (e.g., geology, engineering technology) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical drilling and instrumentation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience with various drilling methods (e.g., sonic drilling, auger drilling, rotary drilling) and geotechnical instrumentation (e.g., inclinometers, piezometers, extensometers).
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and soil mechanics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
