Job Description

• Monitor day-to-day Process Plant performance and all related operational activities to ensure safety and target operating parameters are adhered;
• Work collaboratively with managers, superintendents and supervisors from several departments related to Process Plant operations, including but not limited to Mining, Technical Services, Metallurgy, Paste Plant and Maintenance section to achieve the optimum plant performance;
• Minimize operational downtime by proper execution of shutdown plans and take immediate action to correct at-risk conditions that could cause process plant shutdown;
• Mentor new operators and responsible for the operators training and development;
• Cross-training of the operators on different areas of the process plant for them to gain knowledge and experience and to keep them updated on any changes at the plant; and
• Review Process Plant procedures to ensure that safe condition is observed in the workplace.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant field or its equivalent;
• Minimum of 10 years of Process Plant operating experience is essential;
• Minimum of 10 years exposure to the supervision of Paste Plant operations;
• Proven skills in operating process plant equipment on leaching/absorption, crushing & screening, grinding & classification, thickeners, jaw & cone crushers and SAG/Ball mills, including desands, scrubbing screening and tertiary crushing;
• Experience in manging start-ups and shutdowns using SCADA system in the Central Control Room and Crushing Hub Room;
• Proven skills in leadership, coaching and performance management;
• Display a hands-on approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to engage directly with operational challenges at various levels;
• With valid professional Driver’s license; and
• Display high degree of safety and environmental awareness.
