Job Description:
  • Manage medical denials by conducting a comprehensive review of clinical documentation.
  • Actively manage, maintain, and communicate denial or appeal activity to appropriate stakeholders and report suspected or emerging trends related to payer denials to Revenue Cycle management.
  • Perform advanced level work related to clinical denial management.
  • Reviews UM requests for services against established clinical review criteria, referring cases not meeting criteria to a physician reviewer or prescribed escalation protocol.
  • Write compelling arguments based on the clinical documentation and the medical policies of the payer and submit appeals in a timely manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Must be Registered Nurse with active license.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years Hospital/ Bedside experience.
  • Any Acute Care Settings experience (ICU, PICU, CVICU, ED, etc.).
  • Atleast 1-year BPO experience (but not essential).
  • Amenable to work on night shift schedule.
  • Can start immediately.
