Southwestern University Medical Center is looking for a highly-driven Nutritionist-Dietitian who can be a great partner in providing exceptional health services.
  • Assesses patients’ and clients’ health needs and diet.
  • Develops meal plans, taking both the cost and patient requirements into account.
  • Evaluates the effects of the meal plan and changes the plan as needed.
  • Counsel patients on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits.
  • Serves as consultant to management in matters relating to food service and clinical dietetics.
  • Conducts relevant training programs for dietary personnel.
  • Conducts orientation on better nutrition for the appropriate hospital personnel.
  • Prepares work schedule, accomplishes overtime request and reports of Dietary Department
  • Submits monthly reports on the accomplishment and performance of the Dietary Department
  • Oversee and administer the section requirements for supplies and equipment.
  • Checks menus, supervises food preparation, service and other special functions.
  • Provide dietary counseling or instruction to in-patients, referrals and family on appropriate nutrition and food preparation.
  • Regularly do patient’s rounds and serves as consultant on nutritional care.
  • Represents in the Department in hospital departmental meeting.
  • Encoding in Bizbox accurately of month-end inventory as against Bizbox records
  • Charging accuracy and completeness in Bizbox
  • Preserve Bizbox user account confidentiality
  • Oversee, monitor and supervise requisition and issuances timely posting of transactions and items.
  • Coordinates with other Department in effecting efficient services
  • Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by Immediate Head

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant course
  • Has at least 1 year relevant experience especially in creating nutrition plans
  • Must be a licensed Nutritionist- Dietitian
  • Possesses strong leadership skills
  • Has high attention to details, with excellent communication and customer service skills
