Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) / NSO Clinical Ward / Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control, and Patient Safety Unit / NSO Clinical Ward
- Supervises nursing staff in nursing care and other related functions/responsibilities and orients new staff and volunteers.
- Plans and supervises nursing related activities in the unit.
- Prepare and assists patients for minor and surgical operations and orient patients/watchers regarding hospital rules and procedures.
- Admits, prepares, and checks patient’s charts/conditions and administers drugs/nursing care.
- Complies with the standard documentation policy of the hospital.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Blood Bank / NSO Clinical
- Promotes blood donor advocacy; and recruits, screens, selects and reviews records of voluntary blood donors.
- Takes vital signs of donors and performs phlebotomy for the collection of whole blood units or samples during mass blood donation.
- Labels properly and stores of blood samples and blood units safely during collection operations and ensures proper temperature during transport.
- Gives post donation instructions.
- Performs after care “securing the needles and blood products.
- Manages medical supplies and stocks.
- Handles and logs in donors' records, prepares report and census.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Renal Center for Western Mindanao / NSO Clinical
- Inspects work/patient care for cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
- Analyzes and determines staffing needs of the unit.
- Participates in nursing audits.
- Implements policies, procedures and standards
- Evaluates policies and standards.
- Follow up and assists personnel in the performance of duty.
- Conducts monthly inventory of ward properties and supplies.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Emergency Room / NSO Clinical
- Provides comprehensive assessment, acute care and management; re-evaluates patients needing immediate care; and provide life-saving measures.
- Coordinates with inter-department units for patient’s continuing care (x-ray, pathology wards.)
- Provides proper documentation of care; manages patient’s charts and records.
- Assists physician when examining patients.
- Provides after care/maintains cleanliness of the area.
- Manages medical supplies and stocks.
- Attends seminar, hospital orders, trainings.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
