1. Utilizes assessment skills and techniques to determine patient's problems and needs.
2. Develops and documents the plan of care based on patient's condition/needs.
3. Carries out the plan of care according to priority.
4. Provides safe and comprehensive care according to standards.
5. Performs direct nursing care procedures which include bedside nursing, hygiene, pre and post-operative nursing care, admission, and discharge duties.
6. Monitors, records, and reports patients' symptoms, conditions, and progress of treatment and therapy.
7. Administers medication and notes reaction.
8. Prepares patients for and assist the physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both normal and specialized treatment cases.
9. Assist in the education and rehabilitation of patients and their families related to physical and mental health.
10. Conducts/participates in research studies.
11. Maintains records reflecting patient condition, medication and treatment.
12. Coordinates with other sections in the hospital regarding patient care.
13. Performs other related functions as maybe assigned.
