A Reporter or News writer is responsible for news-gathering, researching, and writing news articles and stories about current events and happenings in the area of responsibility, nationwide or worldwide. Their duties include looking for resource persons who are experts in their field, gathering first-hand accounts of events, and organizing an outline into a cohesive interesting story.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Political Science, Philosophy, Social Sciences, or any related course with good scholastics record
• Good oral / written communication and research skills
• Passionate about writing and delivering interesting stories
• Committed and can work with minimal supervision
• Results-oriented with a positive working attitude
• Skills in photo and video editing/layout are an advantage
