1. 15% Observe physiological changes in the patient’s condition & report immediately such changes to staff nurse’s/head nurses. Take and record vital signs, empty bedpans, urinals and urine bags and document intake and output.
2. 15% Provides hands-on care to patients in a variety of settings and serves and assists patients in their needs.
3. 15% Performs administrative duties such as preparing fiscal reports, inventory, monitoring and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and other related functions
4. 10% Performs emergency tasks under the supervision of registered nurses and assists physician and staff nurses during special procedures.
5. 10% Prepares OR for special procedure (e.g. LT, tracheostomy, cut down, CTT insertion)
6. 10% Assists and monitors in making CSR stocks supplies needed for patients use (e.g. Cotton balls, gauze, tongue depressor, specimen bottle) and maintain adequate stock of supplies for distribution to different areas. Updates inventory of CSR/ Area /Unit supplies (office/medical supplies) and equipment. Submits requisition of lacking supplies to procurement department, follow-up purchase order and delivery. Ensure adequate forms to encode CSR charges used by the units and submit encoded charges to the hospital information system.
7. 10% Assists in the implementation of activities related to research conduction.
8. 5% Cleans disinfects, sterilizes medical supplies and equipment needed for patient care.
9. 5% Assists in the promotion and maintenance of an environment suitable to optimum care of patients such as preparing beds for admission and assisting patients on admission needs, changing dirty linens, gown and bringing linen to and from the laundry section. Coordinate closely with the Linen Section for monitoring of linen to avoid losses
10. 5% Performs other task as may be assigned.
