Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Cell Leader, this position is responsible in the quality of products by performing manual deburring processes using deburring hand tools and machines to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects, and remove contamination, excess material, flash and nodules per workmanship standards. Key responsibilities include interpretation of blueprint and sketch sheets, visual and dimensional inspection, participate in root cause analysis and provide corrective actions in non-conforming parts to support the cluster objectives and metrics.
The Finisher is expected to understand the business objectives, follow standard work instructions, to find and fix problems, continuously seek improvements on various processes and standards; and utilize a wide variety of manufacturing tools (i.e. 5S, Lean concept, Visual management, 6 sigma and other improvement tools applicable). This role will require someone who has a great focus on quality and can demonstrate a Zero-Defect Mindset where he/she will commit to do things right the first time, every time; creating a work environment where nearly right and good enough are not acceptable.
