Part II. PRIMARY FUNCTION
A merchandiser/refiller’s/ market promoter major task is to ensure product availability in order to maximize consumer awareness and product off-take.
He is expected to ensure the availability of the complete lines of the products on the shelves and mass displays. Likewise, he is tasked to ensure that the shelves and mass displays are properly supported by corresponding merchandising materials.
He is expected to strictly follow abide by the Merchandising guidelines

Part III. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Creates and maintains prominent, attractive, interesting and dominant product mass and shelf displays in the assigned supermarket or outlets in accordance with agreed merchandising guidelines.
-Ensures that the maximum number of product and sizes are prominently and creatively displayed. Looks for whatever opportunity to increase facing of the client’s products at all times. If possible , display the product according to market share or at least at minimum equal facing with the major competitors

-Maintains product hygiene of all assigned products in the display area at all times ensuring that products are kept clean, presentable and attractive to consumers.
-Ensures that merchandising materials (posters, price tags and all other point of sale materials) are available and installed to support product display.
-Conducts regular stock inventory in the outlet warehouse and selling area.
-Submits the merchandiser’s weekly inventory and off-take report and all other report requirements on due dates.
-Prevents stock run-out by regularly replenishing stocks in the selling area and informing the Project Supervisor concerned of any stocks at critical level.
-Monitors batches of products and accounts for expiring or damaged stocks for possible withdrawal or reassignment.
-Maintains an effective system of controlling quality of merchandise using first in, first out (FIFO) method of inventory control.
-Assists in in-store special sales promotion (bundling activities, raffle draw, etc.) which maybe implemented from time to time.
-Monitors any competitive in-store promotion or sales activities and provide immediate feedback to his Project Supervisor.
-Maintains confidentiality of any privilege information or marketing plans, which are considered confidential.
-Avoids tardiness and absences. Ensures that he is present in his assigned area of assignment/outlet.
-Wears prescribed uniforms at all times.
-Maintains harmonious relationship and rapport with his co-merchandisers and outlet employees.
-Strictly adheres to the rules and regulations stipulated in the APMC Policies and Guidelines as well as Code of Discipline.
Part IV. Financial, Logistics and Stock Accountability
-The Merchandiser/Refiller/Market promoter is accountable for all materials (equipment, materials, supplies, and other merchandising materials) issued to him.
