Job Description

Extracts/Collects and processes specimen properly on requested routine and special laboratory examinations and releases accurate results within the prescribed timeline
Records and releases results accurately within the prescribed turn around time.
Operates, maintains, and calibrates laboratory apparatus and equipment according to prescribed techniques during tour of duty
Manages effective utilization of laboratory reagents and supplies without wastage of resources during tour of duty.
Handles patient with courtesy and provides clear information and instruction on queries about laboratory procedures at all times.
Practices proper waste disposal and maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the section at all times.
Performs additional designated duties that may be assigned by the Medical Center Chief and/or duly authorized representative.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Bachelor of Science in Public Health

Training: 4 hours of relevant training

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience

Eligibility: RA 1080 (Medical Technologist)
