1. Answer incoming phone calls, maintain confidentiality and politeness during all phone
conversations. Check client’s eligibility, insurance coverage, applicable payer plan before
registering for any service.
2. Attend patients as they arrive, assist patients with mobility, literacy, language, and
comprehension difficulties.
3. Book, change and cancel clients’ appointments in consultation with care providers,
keeping up to date with guidelines. Ensure patient details are up to date including contact
phone numbers, emergency contact, address, cultural background, Insurance details
and/or correct payer plans.
4. Work collaboratively with all Physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, management
of health center and administration staff for the best outcome of client health adding value
to their experience for choosing QatarEnergy healthcare department as their preferred
health service provider.
5. Conduct face to face contact with patients with a caring and polite attitude. Assis tin filing
of medical records on QatarEnergy Electronic Content Management (ECM) for continuum
of care.
6. Ensure messages are complete, details correct and relay in a timely manner between care
providers and clients, ensuring care provider and clients receive medical information in
timely manner for decision making.
7. Follow policy and procedure manual guidelines – bring to attention of Supervisor any policy
which is not correct or requires update.
8. Invoice and receipt patient transactions, provide payment receipts for services. Must be
able to recognize and prioritize executive appointments to care providers.
9. Maintain confidentiality of patient records by utilizing confidential bins, speaking quietly on
the phone, and not leaving confidential information where it can be viewed by public.
Whenever possible conduct confidential discussions away from the reception desk.
10. Notify Supervisor of any incident or potential incident relating to clients or staff. Handle
clients’ medical records in confidential manner that may be require for archiving on ECM
or service providers folders for follow up and review.
