Job Description

Performs electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical services required for preventive/corrective maintenance and calibration of medical equipment and devices to ensure proper functionality
Assesses and estimates materials needed for the repair of medical equipment accurately to implement appropriate repairs
Prepares and submits required documentation and reports to keep track of all maintenance work that an equipment has undertaken
Conducts and maintains inventories of all medical equipment and devices to provide guidance and establish requirements for maintenance, repairs and operations
Trains end-users on application and proper operation of medical equipment/devices to ensure adherence to safety regulations for operating equipment
Reports immediately potential hazards involving clinical equipment to avoid accident and minimize similar occurrence
Performs other related functions as may be assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education: Completion of relevant two years studies in college or Completion of relevant Medical Laboratory Technician course
Training: 4 hours of relevant training
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
Eligibility: Medical Equipment Technician (MC 10, s.2013-Cat. II)
Place of Assignment: Engineering & Facilities Management Section
