Job Summary/Purpose:
To ensure that all Mechanical Equipment is operational and conforms to safety and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Adheres to company policies and procedures including Safety and Housekeeping.
2. Monitor performance of mill machinery and equipment.
3. Perform regular condition monitoring. Identify problems, recommend and take necessary corrective action.
4. Inform the immediate superior regarding abnormalities in the performance or operation of mechanical equipment as well as the action taken.
5. Coordinates the activities of mechanical maintenance with other departments.
6. Maintain and repair plant equipment in accordance with superior’s instruction, engineering standards or manufacturer’s specification.
7. See to it that maintenance activities / schedule are properly performed on time and recorded.
8. Coordinate and report to Mechanical Maintenance Shift Supervisor for all updates of maintenance activities and projects.
9. Make sure that spare parts are always available. Informs the immediate superior about parts and consumables that needs to be purchased.
10. Ensure that tools and equipment are complete, cleaned, and returned to proper place after use.
11. See to it that the assigned and working areas are cleaned and orderly.
12. Provide support to other members of the department.
13. Perform other duties that may assign by immediate superior.
14. Ensure to fill up the logbook and work records.
