Job Position: Nutrition Philippines and Greater Asia Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) Lead
Job Description:
  • Drive the company's understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Pivotal in informing strategic decisions, enhancing product development, and optimizing marketing strategies to better meet consumer needs and preferences
  • Responsible for the identification and translation of consumer, customer, market and channel needs & desires, multi-source insights and behaviors to guide the brand crafting’ strategy, innovation and portfolio, digital marketing and commerce, channel and shopper insights as well as drive performance and insights to drive growth alongside with the Greater Asia Consumer Insights market leads
  • Lead the Foods CMI HIVE team to provide analytical support to Foods CMI.
  • Motivate and lead a direct and indirect reports team across the Greater Asia and HIVE
  • Understand the Foods category (Scratch cooking aids, mini meal, and Condiments) and the bigger universe of category we operate in, customers and channels, the key business objectives and challenges, and be able to set relevant research programs to deliver against the objectives
  • Implement the insights in line with best practices, and ensure that all research work is actionable and strategically aligned; this includes all practical aspects of Insights end to end
  • Understand Category and Cross-Category Dynamics: Deeply understand the foods business, brands, customers, channels key objectives, and challenges
  • Growth Performance and Analytics: Lead HIVE team that will integrate market insights and predictive analytics expertise for global and Greater Asia
  • Lead consumer superior quality program across Greater Asia from benchmarking to improvements for superior product and pack performance as well as pro-active monitoring key competition movements and factoring this into the on-going program
  • Brand Crafting: lead comms research programs for all brands in the portfolio
  • Shopper & Channel: drive consistent shopper understanding in countries, as well as leading pan-channel initiatives across the region
  • Bringing Outside in: Continuously gather and integrate the voice of the consumer along with the news from the market and competitors to ensure competitive intelligence is also core part of our strategy
  • Strategic Influence: Collaborate across functions to ensure insights are effectively translated into actionable strategies
  • Spearhead competitive growth across key markets and categories: Identify hotspots, issues and opportunities across all country / category cells
  • Foresights and Innovation: Provide intelligence to shape and future proof our businesses by identifying any emerging trends and by Identifying broader common themes and Insights on consumer and customer pain points or aspirations (needs & wants) across categories and markets
  • Talent Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing CMI team to ensure that the CMI at the forefront of industry best practices
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions to ensure alignment and integration of insights into business processes
  • Technology and Innovation: Drive the adoption of new technologies and analytical tools to enhance the capabilities of the CMI department

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications for the Position:
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Marketing or Pharmacy
  • Seasoned CMI team leader with suitable years successful achievements
  • Preferably, hands on experience of Marketing and/or Consumer Insight
  • Prowess in qualitative, cultural, digital, social, media and commerce qualitative, quantitative and continuous research, including market analytics, forecasting, modelling, AI and panels
  • Track record in leading category strategy development and reviews, including retail & competitor landscape, pricing, predictive/modelling analytics
  • Proven track record of Business Acumen, Agility and Passion for High Performance and Consumer Love
  • Problem solver with the ability to simply distil and interpret multi-source data at high speed, derive actionable insight and influence business action to insight for short and long-term strategies and executions.
  • Fully Operational in all CMI Skills and methodologies
  • An ultimate collaborator and interdependent leader, internally and externally, who inspires followership with conviction and credibility
  • Curiosity to proactively identify business needs, opportunities and threats, independently scans the market, and assess our portfolio identifying growth opportunities to influence the business.
  • Excellent communication, pithy distillation and story telling skills
  • Organization/Attention to Detail – outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities to meet key deadlines, whilst ensuring high quality output
  • Externally focused – obsessed by market, consumer and customer digital trends with an eye to convert them into tangible business action
